Phil’s just posted a lovely film to our subscribers, about his latest project: converting a lap steel guitar into a “poor man’s pedal steel”. The process involved adding string benders using @certano_bender ’s kit and gives such a great result!

A wonderful lunch at Bassenthwaite Lake Station (a lovely cafe in converted train carriages!) followed by a crazy drive through the snow to get to tonight’s gig in Hexham.

Rosa loved having lunch on the train - although she did keep yelling “chooo choooo!”, and telling us in a concerned way that the train wasn’t moving yet.

Now setting up for the gig, which is most definitely still on for anyone wondering. The snow seems to be receding and the soundcheck is sounding 🔥👌

Dear all, sad to say we’ve made the tough decision to postpone tonight’s Buxton Saltlines gig.

Sorry for any disappointment this will cause - it is obviously a crap situation for us too, with hotels paid for and time spent hanging around rather than playing! But we felt going ahead would be unfair on the many ticket holders who were contacting us saying they wouldn’t be able to make it. We also had serious safety concerns both for the audience and ourselves getting out of Buxton late at night when so many roads are closed and ice is forecast.

We are so sorry but we’ve been struck down with an absolute toddler plague of a bug, and have had to make the decision to postpone tonight’s 27/02/23 Gigspanner Big Band gig in Swindon. We don’t take this decision lightly and are so sorry for the inconvenience to all ticket holders as well as those who organised the gig and our dear bandmates, who we are very much hoping haven’t caught it. We’re hopeful it’s a 24 hour thing - as it was for Rosa - we spent most of yesterday in hospital with her, but today she’s bouncing around right as rain. So 🤞 and our apologies once again. XXX
